Producers of radio programmes target different audiences because the music they play can have an impact on different target audiences and attract a bigger range of listeners. Radio 1 is well-known, British radio station with a target audience of 15-29 year olds, they play music in the charts and also deliver news. Radio 1 Live Lounge had a well-known artist Harry Styles, who performed The Chain by 60/70s British/USA rock band Fleetwood Mac. By doing this, Radio 1 attracted a bigger target audience and other target audiences due to a previous X-Factor winner performing a popular 60s song. It attracted older male/females of 35 years and older, and it attracted younger teenage audiences of 14-25 year olds.
